Ash Meadow - Next Work Party Scheduled for Saturday 7th April 10.00-12 noon.

Ash Meadow needs regular maintenance to enable the village to enjoy our field and play equipment. A work party meets each month to keep the meadow in tip top condition for the village . Anyone who has a couple of hours to spare is very welcome to join us and there is always a mid morning hot chocolate and coffee for the workers at the 'pop up' cafe! Please bring gardening gloves and secateurs.

Parish "Beach Clean" event - 31 Mar / 1 Apr 2018

Have fun exploring our parish shoreline and getting your hands grubby!  Over the Easter weekend, Saturday 31 March and/or Sunday 1 April, Parish Councillors and volunteers will be picking their way along our foreshore to collect rubbish, particularly the dreaded plastic waste, while examining all the flora and fauna on view.  If there are volunteers for both days we will either coral folks onto one day, or do the beach clean over two days so as many as possible can take part. Final event timings will also be decided once we know who is available and when, although the aim is to go around midday to coincide with low tide. If there is interest we could organise a picnic to help our endeavours!  Beach cleaning is a great activity for families and children!  Gloves and picking equipment will be provided.  If you are interested please contact Sheelah Seeley on 731093, or  Hope to see you there!!

Ashprington and Tuckenhay defibrillators

Both the Ashprington and the Tuckenhay defibrillators are now installed and registered with South West Ambulance Trust, so they are active and ready for use at any time. They are very easy to use and direct the user with voice instructions, they will only deliver a shock if the casualty is in cardiac arrest. Read more
